Motorola Droid 2 es un modelo lanzado en USA por Verizon Wireless en exclusiva, no precisa de SIM ya que es para las redes CDMA, pero Motorola Droid 2 Global es tanto para GSM/WCDMA com para CDMA, su nombre ya dice que es para todos los paises. En este modelo tenemos ya un procesador de 1,2 GHz frente al de 1 GHz de sus predecesores. El Droid 2 fue anunciado por agosto de 2010 y el Droid 2 Global al mes siguiente.
