BlackBerry Z3 casi idéntico al BlackBerry Z30 pero con menores prestaciones, dirigido al mercado asiático y africano, se lanzó inicialmente en Indonesia. Con una pantalla también de 5 pulgadas (127 mm en diagonal), pero con una resolución de tan solo 540 x 960 píxeles a una densidad de 220 ppi. El procesador de1.7 GHz se reduce a 1.2 GHz, y la batería pasa a ser de 2500 mAh.

Con soporte para redes 3G y HSPA+, pero no para 4G, conectividad Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, conexiones físicas para audio y USB.

La cámara también se reduce, la cámara trasera de 5 megapíxeles y vídeo de hasta 1080p HD, y la cámara delantera de 1.1 megapíxeles y vídeo de hasta 720p HD.

SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon con procesador de dos núcleos a 1,2 GHz, memoria RAM de 1.5GB, memoria interna de 8GB y ranura de expansión microSD de hasta 32GB.

En el lateral derecho tenemos una pequeña tapa que oculta las ranuras para introducir la tarjeta de micro SIM del operador y la tarjeta de memoria micro SD.

Tenemos el LED de notificación y la cámara frontal en la parte superior frontal del dispositivo. El conector de auriculares en la parte superior, el puerto USB y el micrófono en la parte inferior. La boton de bloqueo y de encendido, el del volumen, botones de silencio y control de voz a la izquierda del dispositivo. La ranura para tarjetas micro SD y micro SIM son de la derecha del dispositivo.

Las flechas indican deslizar hacia la izquierda para desplazarse por las aplicaciones y a la derecha para ir al BlackBerry Hub. La imagen también nos muestra los indicadores de estado de la red en la parte superior de la pantalla y los iconos del teléfono, la búsqueda, y cámara en la parte inferior de la pantalla.
