HTC One X es, dentro de esta nueva serie, el modelo mas avanzado de los presentados en el Mobile World Congress 2012 en Barcelona, el único con procesador de cuatro núcleos a 1.5 GHz, así que suponiendo que en un momento dado funcionen los cuatro al máximo estaría utilizando 6 GHz (1.5x4), en todo lo demás no difiere de los demás modelos, 1MB de memoria RAM y cámara de 8 megapixels, exceptuando el HTC One V que tiene 512MB de RAM y cámara de 5 megapixels, y el HTC One S con pantalla de 4.3 pulgadas.
Destaca en todos los modelos de la serie la plataforma Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich, la presencia de Image Sense, un chip dedicado al procesamiento de imágenes, y Beat Audio, una función standard de audio que incluso podrán integrar terceros.
