BlackBerry Storm2 9550 es una versión mas reciente del BlackBerry Storm 9530 se comercializa en México, USA y Canadá tanto para redes GSM / UMTS, como para CDMA (depende del operador), tiene su equivalente en España, Argentina y otros países bajo el nombre de BlackBerry Storm2 9520, es una versión renovada que añade Wi-Fi y más capacidad de memoria y almacenaje a las versiones anteriores, que son el BlackBerry Storm 9530 para América del Norte y el BlackBerry Storm 9500 para los demás países.
Es GSM cuatribanda, UMTS 2100 MHz y CDMA banda dual 800 / 1900 MHz. Con pantalla táctil capacitiva de 3.25 pulgadas, cámara de 3.2 megapixels con flash, autoenfoque y grabación de vídeo. Con 256 de RAM y 256 de ROM mas una microSD de 16GB que viene incluida y ranura de expansión de hasta 32GB. conectividad Bluetooth, USB, Wi-Fi y conector audio de 3.5 mm.
